Objectives

The original rationale for the finance function being located in Jersey ceased to apply as the back-office processes were being relocated. It was estimated that there would be a reduction in costs by moving the function to England.

Organisation

A large financial services group with existing offices and infrastructure in England, the Channel Islands and Europe.

Tasks

Our role was to fully define all detailed processes and manage the transfer of the sub-functions to the new department and ensure they could be undertaken as well in England as they had been offshore.

Results

The project timeline was achieved. There was no loss in functionality or quality by relocating the functions from Jersey to England. Efficiencies of process were achieved through relocation and the use of shared services, resulting in administrative costs being reduced.
