Objectives

To Establish a financial control function across the EMEA region of the Group to aid better financial control and more prompt reporting of results.

Task

The task consisted of recruiting staff for the new control function, the change of processes and the routing of forecasts and results covering 213 offices in 42 countries through the new EMEA controller’s office.

Result

The production of the annual planning and monthly/quarterly variance reports within the Group’s expected timescales. Data proved a reliable early warning system and firm basis for management action to rectify under-performance. We achieved target standards for high quality management information in terms of completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
