Objectives

The client was looking to implement a new finance system at the same time as a new timesheet and billing system. The client had already selected SAGE 300 prior to Bridgewey’s involvement in the project. Our role was to manage the implementation of the new systems.

The Organisation

The organisation was a privately owned group of companies in seven countries within Europe that operates as a special purpose vehicle house. The organisation provides a number of different services to its clients, as a result it was also looking to implement a sophisticated time and billing system.

Tasks

The project evolved and grew over 14 months during which we implemented SAGE 300 in three companies and geographical regions of the Group, whilst working with the New Zealand developer of the timesheet & billing system to ensure that it met the client’s functional needs. At the end of the task we built a consolidation routine via the SAGE 300 platform that consolidated 11 different entities in seven different countries.

Results

Through the implementation of the timesheet billing system, the Group was able to accurately track work-in-progress, reduce non-chargeable time and move from a quarterly billing process to that of a monthly process. The implementation of SAGE 300 enabled the Group to substantially reduce the timeframes associated with the production of their management and statutory financial processes. The implementation of the two systems enhanced the group’s cash flow and profitability as a result of being more effectively to manage their revenue generation and cost base in a more timely fashion.
